Gabby's Collage

Here are some pics of the collage Gabby and I made for her speical day today. She got to talk about the pics to her freinds. She loved sharing her stories!!

Today was Gabby's special day at school and it was ALL about her the whole day!! She woke up SO excited to go to school!! I got to see her all morning too (I was working of course!) and nothing made me happier than to see her so happy and having so much fun. When she got to school she got to wear a special crown and sit with her teacher in front of the class, then she got to show her sharing first, she got to spray the tables and dress the bears (these are things only working parents kids get to do) and she got to do various other things that was only for her. We brought in snack for the class (chocolate chocolate chip muffins and goldfish) and let me tell you...it was a HIT!! The best was watching her talk to her class about her collage of pictures about her family, friends and fun things she has done. (We had to make it and bring it in.) Then when school was over Bob made her a special lunch and for dinner she got to pick anything she wanted to eat. She wanted McDonald's and for the first time in her life (and Dante's too) they got to have McDonald's for dinner!! A very BIG treat for them!!!

We have graduated Dante to his "big boy chair" at the table the other day. I'm so sad. No more highchairs....:( Anyways, he loves it and it's so cool that we all sit at the table together now as a family. He is growing up too fast!!!

Happy New Year!!!!

Happy New Year!! It certainly was for all of us and especially for me personally. Bob and I had a date night the night before and had a wonderful time chatting over martini's and great food at El Gauchos (Bob got gift certificates there for Christmas so it was pratically free ...:) On New Years Eve I spent some time with a lot of good friends who I never get to see. My friend Aracelli had the "crew" over for a NYE party and for once I got to go with Gabby and Bob volunteered to stay home with Dante (who was sleeping.) Gabs and I had SO MUCH FUN!! I miss those gals and there families. I usually am the one who leaves functions they have early to put Dante to sleep so it was finally nice to chat, eat, drink and have some good times with them. I didn't see Gabby the whole night either!! Aracelli's daughter, Jordan, took her over there neighbors house and she had the best time with all her little girlfriend's watching movies, eating chips and playing games. She had a ball!! We were definitely home by 11:30 to ring in the new year with Bob though. It was a wonderful, fun evening!!

Happy 2010!!! I'm looking forward to it!!

More good times...

Over the holiday break we celebrated our good friend Sawyer's 3rd birthday party at a roller skating rink!!! Gabby wanted nothing to do with it (the music was too loud for her) but my little man was rollerskating all over the place!! I cant believe they even make skates that little!! Happy birthday Sawyer!!!!

Also, since we are not seeing any snow around here this year, we took the kids to the mountains so they could have some snow/sled riding time. We went up with the Williams family and we had a blast!!! We couldn't thank Steve's friend enough for letting us into there home!! The kids (and all of us) had such a good time!!! What a BEAUTIFUL scenic ride up and back but I have to admit...I was glad the snow was all gone once we got home....:)

Christmas Day 2009

Our family had a wonderful Christmas this year!! It was very low key and the focus was just on our kids (and all of the toys of course!!) The look on Gabby and Dante's face when they found out Santa came was priceless. They both really got into Christmas this year and it was SO much fun for Bob and I!!! They loved all there toys but Gabby's favorite toy (I think) is her Nintendo DS game (which she is addicted to!) and Dante's is his Hot Wheels cars and his Home Depot Tool bench set!

It was a very Merry Christmas indeed!!!
