We love to bounce!!!

Daddy took the day off from work last Friday and so we decided to go to the bouncy house in Kent.  What a hit!!  Gabby was skeptical at first then once she went down the slide one time she was hooked!!  She climbed up the stairs and did everything all by herself (but of course we were there with her anyway because we were having fun too!)  Dante LOVED everything too!!  We cant wait to go back!!  

I forgot my camera so I had to take pics with my iphone.  Not the best pics but it caught the moment.

I've seriously have had it with being sick all the time!!  It's brutal!!  We'll we are actually on the tail end of it thank GOD!!  I'm just hoping that we are DONE being sick now for the year!!  I know the bug has been going around and hitting everyone so we are not alone.  

Tomorrow morning is preschool registration and I just got thinking...my sweet baby girl is going to go to SCHOOL next fall!!  WHAT!?!?!  I just cant believe it.  I know it's only preschool but still...it's the beginning of her journey into becoming her own person.  I'm SO going to be that crazy mom crying when I leave that first day!!  I'm tearing up just thinking about it!!

Ok...off to bed. Big day tomorrow!!!

My birthday!!!

I know, I know....I have a lot of catching up to do!!!  It's been a crazy few weeks...my birthday, then we all got sick (yes...again) and now it's preschool registration time.  Sheesh!!  Anyway, everything is great now and we are all better so it's all good!!

Ok so my birthday was on March 6th and Bob outdid himself.  I got a Tiffany's necklace from "the kids", then he surprised me and arranged our first 'date night' in 2 and a half years (no...I'm not kidding!!)  It was fabulous!!  We ate dinner at CI Shenanigan's on the waterfront and it was so weird actually eating a HOT meal without having to bend over 10 million times to pick up Dante's toys....or to have to answer to Gabriella's constant "mommy can I have this....mommy can I have that....and I didnt have to leave the table to change a diaper!!!  It was so much fun....but, yes, I still missed my babies...:)  

Ok so that wasn't all.  At dinner Bob hands me a box and a card.  I opened it and it was a 4 hour spa package at Gene Juarez (for my PGH friends...Gene Juarez is a really, really nice spa.  They do hair and other things too.)  So the next day I get a pedicure, manicure, an hour massage and a facial!!!  I was SO relaxed.  Every mommy needs this.   I felt very rejuvenated and I cant remember the last time I felt so pampered and relaxed.  It was wonderful. 

So Bob did a GREAT job and another birthday passes....and NO I'm not telling my age!!  Most of you know anyways!!

We were all sick....again!!!

Well it's been a while since I've written something new because we have all been really sick for the last 2 weeks.  It's been awful.  We haven't had a great new year yet that's for sure!!  Good news is we are all about over it now and are all SO ready to get back into the swing of things.  I'm mostly looking forward to just getting out of the house!!  We miss our friends SO much and cant wait to see them again!!!

Before we all got sick we went to the Seattle aquarium...Gabriella's favorite place to go!!  I'm glad we at least went somewhere fun before we settled in for the next couple weeks!!

Valentine's Day with friends

Our friend Ruth had a Valentine's Day party (2nd year in a row!) and, once again, she went all out.  The kids had a GREAT time!!  They got to decorate there own bags to put there Valentines in, make heart shaped pizzas,  and eat all kinds of chocolate!!  Ruth was so wonderful to offer up her house for the party.  Thanks Ruthy!!!

Dante's first Valentine's Day

Today was Dante's first Valentine's Day and he had his first "chip" to celebrate (since he can't have chocolate!!)  Bob made us a fantastic Salmon dinner and he got me a dozen beautiful red roses.  Gabriella and Dante got all kinds of fun things but I think Gabby's favorite present was her new horsey and Dante enjoyed his "chips."  Poor little guys woke up with a horrible cold though so I hope he gets better soon!!  Bob and I ended the day with a dip in the hot tub and some fabulous chocolate desserts!!!  Yummmmmm!!!!

It was a great day!!  Happy Valentines Day!!!

Finally....an update!!!

Ok, I've been a big slacker with our blog this past month!!  I have to try to get better at keeping it up!!  We really didn't do anything major because we were inside the house for half of the month trying to get over a horrible virus that hit all of us EXCEPT Dante!!  I don't know how he didn't get it but I'm SO thankful he didn't.  Poor Gabby got it the worst.  Anyways, we are all better and back to normal thank God!!

Dante is growing so fast I cant believe it.  I get sad sometimes because he is my last baby and I see him getting more and more independent...I don't want him to grow up so fast!!  He is 9 months now and is crawling and cruising around all over the place!!  His personality is really coming out now and it's fun to watch him and Gabby entertain each other.  They are SO cute together and Gabby is really protective of him.  It's funny.  She always says, "Be careful of my baby brother" to anyone who comes near him if we go to an indoor play area.  She loves him so much...it melts my heart.  I'm so blessed to have 2 wonderful kiddies!!

Gabby and I previewed 2 preschools this month....PRESCHOOLS!!!  I cant believe she will go to "school" in the fall!!  I wish you could have seen her when we went to these schools.  She just went in there with no care in the world and just met new friends and did her own thing.  She listened to the teachers and was SO independent.   I was SO proud of her!!!   6 months ago she would hang onto my leg and not do anything by herself....now I look at her and see how much she has "grown up."  My baby girl is not my baby anymore....:(

My last bit of news is that we just came back from a WONDERFUL trip to PGH!!  We flew in for the Super Bowl and I'm so glad we did because the Steelers WON!!!  It was GREAT!!!!  It was so nice to celebrate with my friends.  We went over Tim and Nicole's house for the game.  They are the entertainment king and queen!!  Nic never misses a beat.  We got there and there were Steeler pom poms, beads, bracelets....you name it she had it!!  Gabby was in her glory dressed up head to toe!!  The kids also had fun being pampered and spoiled over Nonna's house!!  We also had a delish dinner over Tina and Davids house (newly married!!) but I forgot my dang camera so I didn't get any pics of us!! I was SO bummed!!  

It was so nice catching up with all my friends back home.  I still miss and love them so much.   I didn't get to see nearly everyone I wanted to (I promise the next time Tracey, Stacie and Patty!!)  but I enjoyed seeing the people who I could see.  I was so sad when I had to leave PGH but I also missed my friends here in Tacoma.  Now when I fly home I have friends to look forward to seeing.  I didn't have that 4 years ago and I'm so thankful for all my wonderful friends here in WA state!!  They are such good friends....I just love them all and they are all special to me.
