Zoo Boo at Pt Defiance Zoo

Thanks to my friend Jody who told me about this we took Gabs and Dante to Zoo Boo at Pt Defiance Zoo Sunday morning. It was a Halloween themed day where the kids wear there costumes and participate in Halloween activity's throughout the zoo. It was awesome!! Gabs and Dante had a GREAT time seeing the animals, riding camels, doing Halloween crafts, and, of course, eating CANDY!!!

I must say that the Halloween costumes you see in these pics are not the ones they are wearing this year. Gabriella is actually going to be a butterfly and Dante is going to be a fire fighter...but there costumes were not ready on Sunday am so we had to improvise. Gabs chose to be Cinderella for the day and Dante was a STEELER FOOTBALL PLAYER (and, in my opinion, had the best costume of any boy there....:) Anyways I cant wait to show off there REAL costumes...they are fantastic!!

Enjoy.....

Mt. View pre-school Trike-a-thon

Gabs had her first pre-school fundraiser this past Sat called the Trike-a-thon. The kids got money from sponsors and they, in return, rode there bikes in the pre-school parking lot. All the money raised goes directly into the pre-school. Anyways, you would not believe how freakin' cute it was watching all these kids on there bikes!! Absolutely priceless!! We were SO thankful that the rain held out for the actual ride and the rest of the activities were indoors....so it worked out perfectly!! Unfortunately the battery in my camera died on me so I only have a few pics of the event. I was SO bummed because there were so many cute things they did!!

Here are the pics that I took.....

Spooners Farm Pumpkin Patch

So we usually go to Hunters Pumpkin Patch every fall (an hour away) but this year we wanted to try some place new to get our pumpkins (and closer to home!) so we went to Spooner's Farm in Puyallup and it was awesome!! The kids LOVED it and they had so much to do!! Gabs and Dante really liked the "spiders" in the patch and the water/duck game. We actually went on a weekday so some of the really fun stuff were not open (like the food and the pony rides) but we look forward to seeing that next year (we will make sure to go on a weekend!)

Anyways, we are thrilled with our new pumpkin patch find and cant wait to go back next year!!

Fairs...fairs...and more fairs!!!

One of the things I look forward to every fall are the harvest festivals. They have so much things for the kids to do and, of course, the food is always a plus...:) Gabs and Dante cant get enough of them. We went to the Puyallup fair not to long ago and then we went to the Fife harvest festival and the Salmon days festival. Both were equally fun and exciting to go to.

One other thing I'm enjoying so much this fall is the true interaction that Dante and Gabriella are sharing now. They are at that age where they play with each other all the time and I watch them in amazement. They have come so far from last fall. What a blessing they are and they truly love each other so much. It's just wonderful.

Ok...on with the pictures!!

First Day Of Preschool!!

My little girl finally started preschool!! She was the last of all her friends to go so I had some great tips going into this special day!! Gabriella, for the most part, loved it. We did have a little scare and Gabs missed her mama for a while, but she recovered nicely and when I went to pick her up she was happy as can be playing outside. Now, after some LONG heart-to-heart talks, everytime she goes to preschool she says to me, "Mama, I'm not going to miss you today" which is good...I guess. It's true, thankfully, ever since her first day she really does not miss me anymore and she has been focused on enjoying her new school. She has met some fantastic new friends (and so did her mama!) and her teacher, Mrs Eakin, is incredible. I cant say enough good things about her. It's so fun to hear Gabs talk about what she does at school and every morning it's "mama, am I going to school today?" How about that. Anyway, here are some pics of my gorgeous preschool girl....

Ready to go!!!

A "good luck" kiss from Dante....of course!
