Dante's early birthday present

We had such a warm sunny weekend that we decided to give Dante one of his birthday presents early (it's on the 24th!) We got him a bouncy house (thank God it fits in our backyard!) and it was a huge hit!!! You should have seen Gabby and Dante when we were putting it together....they couldn't wait to get in!! This will be SO NICE to have this summer!! It'll be fun to sit in a chair and watch the kids bounce there hearts out (and sleep well...:)

Welcome baby Kate!!!

Our very good friends the McDonald family had there baby girl this weekend and her name is Kate Elizabeth. As most of you know Ellie and Gabby have known each other since they were 4 months old so they are the best of friends and, as far as we are concerned, we just gained a new daughter as well. Kate is amazing!! She is alert, she is beautiful and she is SO loved and adored. What a lucky girl....and we are lucky to have her in our life!

Easter Day!!!

We are so lucky that the Easter Bunny came to our house and left jelly bean trails to the baskets...:) It was like Christmas morning all over again!! Gabs and Dante loved everything (of course) and so we had a fun playing with toys all day and eating WAY too much!!! I'm still feeling it!!

More Easter Fun....

Additional pre-Easter activities for us included going to church, egg coloring (of course), homemade sweet bread, homemade Easter bread and gifts from Nonna!!! Dante wanted NOTHING to do with the coloring of the eggs...but he settled for putting on the stickers...:) Gabs, on the other hand, was ALL about the painting and the coloring. She is SO patient with it too....definitely a traight from her father!! Nonna sent them really cool gifts too along with a ton of Italian traditional Easter cookies...which I LOVE!!! Thanks mama!!!

This year I also decided to make both my mom's Easter bread AND Easter sweet bread. Usually I only make one or the other, but they made great gifts for my friends and everyone seemed to enjoy having it around!!

Geezzzz....2 kinds of Easter bread, cookies, candy.....no wonder I cant fit in my pants!!!

Easter Fun!!

We took Gabby and Dante to the Lakeland Easter Egg Hunt this year and met up with our friends the Craigs and the Potters. You should have seen all the kids.....so cute!!! Too bad is was FREEZING outside or we would have stayed a lot longer!! It was fun to watch Dante this year....he is at the age where he can actually do the hunt and enjoy it!! I was emotional watching him....just another reminder that my "baby" is no longer...:(

Anyways....it really was a great time!!!

Mt View's Special Person's Night

Mt View (Gabby's preschool) held a Special Person's event where the kids bring there dads (or whomever is special to them) for a night of fun!! Bob wanted to make it really special for Gabs so he took her out to dinner before the event started so he could have some more one-on-one time with her. Gabby LOVED having a "date" night with her daddy!!
